October 13, 2023: Stanton, KY 40380 In Friday's league game, the Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY) football team smashed the host Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY), by a score of 36-0.
The Bulldogs (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Boyd County (Ashland, KY). The Lions come into the non-league game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, Boyd County overwhelmed Rowan County (Morehead, KY), 44-18, in a league game.
The Pirates now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belfry for a 3A District 8 game on Friday, October 20. Powell County will battle a Pirates team coming off a 49-7 league win over Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Pirates record now stands at 5-3.
