In Friday's league match, the visiting Leroy Bears football squad scored a big 41-8 victory over the Southern Choctaw Indians.

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Fruitdale Pirates (Fruitdale, AL) in a 1A Region 1 match, on Friday, October 20. Leroy will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record. The Pirates enter the match with a 1-7 record after their 44-20 non-league loss to Chickasaw (Chickasaw, AL).
