In Friday's league match, the host Lincoln Christian Crusaders football squad scored a close 34-29 victory over the Raymond Central Mustangs.

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Syracuse Rockets (Syracuse, NE) in a C1 District 2 match, on Friday, October 20. Lincoln Christian will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Rockets enter the match with a 5-3 record after their 36-28 league loss to Nebraska City (Nebraska City, NE).

The Mustangs (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Falls City (Falls City, NE). The Tigers enter the C1 District 2 match with a 2-6 record. In their last match, Falls City was nudged by Auburn (Auburn, NE), 42-13, in a league match.
