The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Northwest Texans (Justin, TX) and the host The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX), observed Northwest's football squad thwart The Colony by a tally of 37-27.

The Texans now possess a 6-1 record. They play next when they host South Hills for a 5A-1 Region I District 3 contest on Friday, October 20. Northwest will play a Scorpions squad coming off a 68-8 league loss to Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Scorpions record now stands at 0-7.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Azle Hornets (Azle, TX) in a 5A-1 Region I District 3 contest, on Friday, October 20. The Colony will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 2-5 record after their 34-33 league win over Saginaw (Saginaw, TX).
