The Smith County Owls thwarted the visiting Westmoreland Eagles football team by a count of 27-0 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Smith County upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Owls host Monterey (Monterey, TN) to encounter the Wildcats in a 2A Region 3 outing on Friday, October 27. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 4-4.

With the loss, Westmoreland moves to 3-5 on the season. The Eagles host Portland (Portland, TN) to encounter the Panthers in a non-league outing on Friday, October 20.
