The Sun Valley Spartans football team (Monroe, NC), was ripped 42-3 in Friday's league challenge with the host Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC)

The Warriors (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers come into the 4A Southern Carolina challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Cuthbertson was ripped by Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC), 31-0, in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Marvin Ridge for a 4A Southern Carolina challenge on Friday, October 20. Sun Valley will meet a Mavericks team coming off a 28-8 non-league win over Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 4-4.
