The Pierz Pioneers edged the host Holdingford Huskers volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Pioneers face the Albany Huskies (Albany, MN) in a Granite Ridge game, on Tuesday, October 14. Pierz will attempt to better on its 7-17 season record. The Huskies come into the outing with a 23-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Pequot Lakes (Pequot Lakes, MN).

With the loss, Holdingford drops to 7-13 on the campaign. The Huskers travel to Paynesville (Paynesville, MN) to play the Bulldogs in a Central Minnesota outing on Tuesday, October 14.
