The Firelands Falcons football team (Oberlin, OH), was beaten 42-28 in Friday's league challenge with the host Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH)

The Pirates (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Wellington (Wellington, OH). The Dukes come into the Lorain County challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Wellington achieved victory over Brookside (Sheffield, OH), 35-10, in a league challenge.

The Falcons now sport a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbia for a Lorain County challenge on Friday, October 21. Firelands will meet a Raiders team coming off a 43-36 league win over Keystone (La Grange, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 9-0.
