Texas High School Football - Elgin nips University

October 14, 2022: Elgin, TX 78621

In Friday's league match, the host Elgin Wildcats football squad scored a close 36-35 victory over the University Trojans.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Pflugerville Panthers (Pflugerville, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 11 match, on Thursday, October 20. Elgin will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 2-5 record after their 53-28 league loss to University (Waco, TX).

The Trojans (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Rouse (Leander, TX). The Raiders enter the 5A-2 Region III District 11 match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Rouse held off Chaparral (Killeen, TX), 30-0, in a league match.
