The Prairie View Academy Spartans football team (Bastrop, LA), was beaten 36-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Lee Academy Cougars (Marianna, AR)

The Cougars (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against DeSoto (West Helena, AR). The Thunderbirds come into the MAIS 8-Man 1A District 1 (8 Man) challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, DeSoto achieved victory over Delta Academy (Marks, MS), 56-36, in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Union Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 21. Prairie View Academy will meet a Lions team coming off a 34-18 league win over Sharkey Issaquena Academy (Rolling Fork, MS). The Lions record now stands at 2-6.
