In Friday's league match, the visiting Weed Cougars football squad scored a close 30-24 victory over the Quincy Trojans.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Portola Tigers (Portola, CA) in a Cascade Valley match, on Friday, October 21. Weed will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 7-1 record after their 16-13 league loss to Fall River (McArthur, CA).

The Trojans (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Maxwell (Maxwell, CA). The Panthers enter the Cascade Valley match with a 4-3 record.
