Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings confront the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 16. Valley will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Monarchs enter the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM).

The Hornets now have a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host Belen for a 4A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, October 17. Highland will confront a Eagles team coming off a 10-0 league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 6-10.
