October 14, 2023: Cherokee, IA 51012 The Jefferson Cavaliers (Sioux Falls, SD) volleyball overcame the host Cherokee Washington Braves (Cherokee, IA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.
With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 16-1 on the year. The Cavaliers host Watertown (Watertown, SD) to face the Arrows in a AA District 1 outing on Tuesday, October 17. The Arrows go into the outing with a record of 17-4. Watertown lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against Washington (Sioux Falls, SD)
The Braves now own a 20-3 record. They play next when they travel to Sioux City East for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 14. Cherokee Washington will face a Black Raiders squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA). The Black Raiders record now stands at 12-9.
