October 14, 2023: Frederick, MD 21701 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles (Frederick, MD) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Ohio School for the Deaf Spartans (Columbus, OH), by a margin of 3-0.
Next up, the Orioles face the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Falcon (Kingsville, MD) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 24. Maryland School for the Deaf will attempt to better on its 10-13 season record. The Falcon go into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Avon Grove Charter (West Grove, PA).
With the loss, Ohio School for the Deaf moves to 4-10 on the year. The Spartans host Academy for Urban Scholars (Youngstown, OH) to face the Hawks in a non-league contest on Tuesday, October 17. The Hawks go into the contest with a record of 0-5. Academy for Urban Scholars lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Chaney (Youngstown, OH)
