October 15, 2023: Kewanee, IL 61443 The crowd at Sunday's non-league bout between the Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) and the visiting Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL), saw Wethersfield's volleyball squad beat Mendon Unity by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Wethersfield upgrades its record to 22-5 on the year. The Flying Geese host Galva (Galva, IL) to play the Wildcats in a Lincoln Trail bout on Monday, October 16. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 6-24. Galva lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL)
The Mustangs now own a 17-9 record. They play next when they travel to Macomb for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 17. Mendon Unity will play a Bombers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Elmwood (Elmwood, IL). The Bombers record now stands at 20-7.
