October 14, 2024: Newark, NJ 07105 East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, East Side moves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Red Raiders host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ) to meet the Bengals in a non-league test on Thursday, October 17. The Bengals come into the test with a record of 7-5. Bloomfield won 4-0 in their recent non-league test against Newark Tech (Newark, NJ)
The Spartans now sport a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they host Red Bank Regional for a Shore B - North test on Friday, October 18. Ocean Township will meet a Bucs team coming off a 3-2 league win over Neptune (Neptune, NJ). The Bucs record now stands at 10-5.
