In Friday's league game, the Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX) football team tipped the visiting Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX), by a score of 27-24.

The Tarpons (6-1) will now prepare for their game against Ingleside (Ingleside, TX). The Mustangs come into the 4A-2 Region IV District 16 game with a 6-1 record. In their last game, Ingleside was tipped by Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX), 49-14, in a league game.

The Bobcats now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Raymondville for a 4A-2 Region IV District 16 game on Friday, October 22. Rio Hondo will battle a Bearkats team coming off a 48-0 league loss to Sinton (Sinton, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 3-4.
