In Wednesday's league challenge, the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Princeville Princes.

With the win, Abingdon/Avon advances its record to 2-23 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL) to face the Wildcats in a non-league test on Saturday, October 18. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 16-7. Cuba/Spoon River Valley won 2-0 in their recent league test against Lewistown (Lewistown, IL)

The Princes now sport a 10-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bureau Valley for a Lincoln Trail test on Monday, October 20. Princeville will play a Storm team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Storm record now stands at 14-14.
