Georgia High School Softball - Statesboro nudges Jones County
October 16, 2023: Gray, GA 31032 Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Blue Devils now own a 15-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chamblee for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 16. Statesboro will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 21-3.
With the loss, Jones County falls to 11-17 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Northside (Columbus, GA) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Monday, October 16. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 22-7. Northside won 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Marion County (Buena Vista, GA)
