Virginia High School Volleyball - Varina tips L.C. Bird
October 16, 2023: Chesterfield, VA 23832 The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) and the host L.C. Bird Skyhawks (Chesterfield, VA), saw Varina's volleyball squad nip L.C. Bird by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Varina upgrades its record to 7-10 on the year. The Blue Devils host Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA) to play the Raiders in a Capital bout on Thursday, October 19. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 17-2. Atlee won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA)
The Skyhawks now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to Clover Hill for a Dominion bout on Tuesday, October 17. L.C. Bird will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Powhatan (Powhatan, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-10.
