October 16, 2024: Sparta, NJ 07871 The Sparta Spartans soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Hunterdon Central Red Devils to 0 in the Spartans non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Spartans now hold a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kittatinny Regional for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 19. Sparta will play a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Vernon (Vernon, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 11-2.
With the loss, Hunterdon Central moves to 5-7 on the year. The Red devils host Montgomery (Skillman, NJ) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league test on Monday, October 21.
