In Thursday's league battle, the host Anderson Trojans football team scored a big 62-3 win over the Cedar Creek Eagles.

With the win, Anderson improves its record to 7-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Hays (Buda, TX) to meet the Hawks in a 5A-1 Region III District 12 match on Thursday, October 23. The Hawks come into the match with a record of 4-3. Hays lost 52-7 in their recent league challenge against College Station (College Station, TX)

The Eagles (0-7) will now prepare for their challenge against A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX). The Tigers go into the 5A-1 Region III District 12 challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, A&M Consolidated bounced Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX), 51-10, in a league challenge.
