The Denver West Cowboys got by the visiting Highland Huskies football team by a score of 13-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Cowboys meet the Alameda Pirates (Lakewood, CO) in a 2A Metro test, on Friday, October 24. Denver West will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Pirates come into the test with a 2-5 record after their 56-0 league loss to The Classical Academy (Colorado Springs, CO).

With the defeat, Highland drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Jefferson (Edgewater, CO) to meet the Saints in a 1A Central test on Friday, October 24. The Saints come into the test with a record of 0-7. Jefferson lost 21-6 in their recent league test against Estes Park (Estes Park, CO)
