Yosemite Badgers (Oakhurst, CA) boosters were happy Thursday as they witnessed their football squad edge the host McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA), 20-14 in a league match.

The Badgers (7-1) will now prepare for their match against Le Grand (Le Grand, CA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Le Grand was nudged by Gustine (Gustine, CA), 52-0, in a league battle.

The Cougars now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Fowler for a non-league battle on Friday, October 24. McFarland will play a Redcats team coming off a 21-14 league win over Riverdale (Riverdale, CA). The Redcats record now stands at 3-5.
