October 16, 2025: Fitzgerald, GA 31750 Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their flag football team triumph over the visiting Worth County Rams (Sylvester, GA), 50-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Fitzgerald advances its record to 7-0 on the season. The Purple Hurricane travel to Cook (Adel, GA) to confront the Hornets in a non-league match on Thursday, October 16. The Hornets come into the match with a record of 2-3. Cook won 39-0 in their recent non-league battle against Worth County (Sylvester, GA)
The Rams now have a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Dooly County for a non-league battle on Wednesday, October 22. Worth County will play a Bobcats team coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Dougherty (Albany, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-3.
