Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Amesbury Redhawks (Amesbury, MA), 3-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Newburyport moves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Clippers host Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA) to clash with the Chieftains in a non-league test on Friday, October 17. The Chieftains come into the test with a record of 13-2. Masconomet Regional won 4-0 in their recent non-league outing against Danvers (Danvers, MA)
