Michigan High School Volleyball - Mumford over Denby
October 16, 2025: Detroit, MI 48221 Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Mumford Mustangs (Detroit, MI) and the visiting Denby Tars (Detroit, MI), observed Mumford's volleyball team top Denby by a count of 3-0.
The Mustangs (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Western International (Detroit, MI). The Cowboys go into the Detroit Public - West test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Western International gained a win over Northwestern (Detroit, MI), 3-0, in a league test.
The Tars now sport a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeastern for a Detroit Public - East test on Monday, October 20. Denby will face a Jungaleers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Renaissance (Detroit, MI). The Jungaleers record now stands at 2-12.
