In Monday's non-league contest, the Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting McGuffey Highlanders (Claysville, PA), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Maples face the West Greene Pioneers (Waynesburg, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 2 contest, on Tuesday, October 18. Mapletown will attempt to better on its 15-1 season record. The Pioneers go into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Hundred (Hundred, WV).
