Illinois High School Volleyball - Forreston can't hold off River Ridge

In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host River Ridge Wildcats volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Forreston Cardinals.

The Wildcats (23-8) will now prepare for their battle against Stockton (Stockton, IL). The Blackhawks come into the Northwest Upstate Illini battle with a 16-13 record. In their last battle, Stockton nudged East Dubuque (East Dubuque, IL), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Cardinals clash with the Eastland Cougars (Lanark, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini battle, on Thursday, October 19. Forreston will attempt to advance on its 13-20 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 16-18 record after their 2-0 league win over Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL).
