The Gunnison Cowboys volleyball team (Gunnison, CO), went down 3-1 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Rifle Bears (Rifle, CO)

The Bears (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Monarch (Louisville, CO). The Coyotes enter the non-league challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last challenge, Monarch went down by Broomfield (Broomfield, CO), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cowboys encounter the North Fork Miners (Hotchkiss, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 20. Gunnison will attempt to move on its 14-2 season record. The Miners enter the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Grand Valley (Parachute, CO).
