Western Pioneers (Anaheim, CA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team nip the host Cypress Centurions (Cypress, CA), 28-22 in a league battle.

With the win, Western advances its record to 4-4 on the season. The Pioneers host Tustin (Tustin, CA) to encounter the Tillers in a Delta battle on Friday, October 25. The Tillers go into the battle with a record of 7-1. Tustin won 34-28 in their recent league battle against El Modena (Orange, CA)

The Centurions now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pacifica for a non-league outing on Friday, October 18. Cypress will clash with a Mariners squad coming off a 29-0 league win over Woodbridge (Irvine, CA). The Mariners record now stands at 2-5.
