October 17, 2024: La Mesa, CA 91941 The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) and the host Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA), witnessed Grossmont's football squad knock off Helix by a tally of 37-22.
The Foothillers (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA). The Barons enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Bonita Vista was toppled by Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA), 13-0, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Highlanders battle the Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA) in a contest, on Thursday, October 24. Helix will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 3-1 record after their 23-0 league loss to Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA).
