In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Sylmar Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Poly Parrots.

The Spartans (16-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Taft (Woodland Hills, CA). The Toreadors enter the non-league challenge with a 17-18 record. In their last challenge, Taft beat Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Parrots meet the Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) in a challenge, on Monday, October 21. Poly will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 2-0 league win over Arleta (Arleta, CA).
