Maine High School Soccer - Oceanside nudged by Mount View
October 17, 2024: Thorndike, ME 04986 Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Oceanside Mariners (Rockland, ME), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Mount View advances its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME) to clash with the Huskies in a Class C - North test on Tuesday, October 22. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 2-11. Maine Central Institute lost 9-0 in their recent non-league test against Waterville (Waterville, ME)
The Mariners now have a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Gardiner for a Class B - North test on Tuesday, October 22. Oceanside will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 6-0 league win over Erskine Academy (South China, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 10-3.
