Delaware High School Volleyball - Smyrna edged by Lake Forest
October 17, 2024: Smyrna, DE 19977 Lake Forest Spartans (Felton, DE) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Lake Forest improves its record to 10-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Early College (Dover, DE) to encounter the Hornets in a Henlopen South test on Tuesday, October 22. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 3-8. Early College lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE)
The Eagles now own a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Polytech for a Henlopen North test on Tuesday, October 22. Smyrna will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Seaford (Seaford, DE). The Panthers record now stands at 8-5.
