Amesbury Redhawks (Amesbury, MA) followers were content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting North Reading Hornets (North Reading, MA), 30-28 in a league match.

The Redhawks (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Ipswich (Ipswich, MA). The Tigers come into the Cape Ann match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Ipswich was nudged by Triton Regional (Byfield, MA), 39-16, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Hornets confront the Pentucket Regional (West Newbury, MA) in a Cape Ann match, on Friday, October 24. North Reading will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The go into the battle with a 4-2 record after their 21-14 non-league loss to Essex Tech (Hathorne, MA).
