Barstow Aztecs (Barstow, CA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Silverado Hawks (Victorville, CA), 24-17 in a league match.

The Aztecs (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Granite Hills (Apple Valley, CA). The Cougars enter the Desert Sky match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Granite Hills was nudged by Victor Valley (Victorville, CA), 42-21, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Hawks confront the Victor Valley Jackrabbits (Victorville, CA) in a Desert Sky match, on Thursday, October 23. Silverado will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Jackrabbits go into the battle with a 4-4 record after their 49-0 league win over Adelanto (Adelanto, CA).
