The McGehee Owls edged the visiting Barton Bears football team by a score of 32-31 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Owls face the Palestine-Wheatley Patriots (Palestine, AR) in a 3A Region 8 outing, on Friday, October 24. McGehee will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Patriots come into the outing with a 4-3 record after their 36-26 league loss to Dumas (Dumas, AR).

With the defeat, Barton drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Drew Central (Monticello, AR) to clash with the Pirates in a 3A Region 8 outing on Friday, October 24.
