The crowd at Friday's league contest between the McCormick Chiefs (McCormick, SC) and the host Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes (Calhoun Falls, SC), witnessed McCormick's football squad topple Calhoun Falls Charter by a tally of 57-28.

The Chiefs (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Whitmire (Whitmire, SC). The Wolverines enter the A Region 1 contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Whitmire was outscored by Abbeville (Abbeville, SC), 57-8, in a league contest.

Next up, the Blue Flashes encounter the Ware Shoals Hornets (Ware Shoals, SC) in a A Region 1 bout, on Friday, October 24. Calhoun Falls Charter will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 58-33 league win over Dixie (Due West, SC).
