The Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL) football trounced the visiting Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL), 42-6 in Friday's league outing.

The Red Devils now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host JAG for a 7A Region 2 game on Thursday, October 23. Central will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 42-6 league loss to Enterprise (Enterprise, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-7.

The Bulldogs (6-3) will now prepare for their game against Carver Montgomery (Montgomery, AL). The Wolverines enter the 7A Region 2 game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Carver Montgomery was overwhelmed by Auburn (Auburn, AL), 41-7, in a league outing.
