California High School Football - Modesto crushed by Downey

The Downey Knights overwhelmed the visiting Modesto Panthers football squad by a margin of 56-14 in Friday's league test.

The Knights now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Turlock for a Central California - CCAL test on Friday, October 24. Downey will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 28-14 league win over Pitman (Turlock, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Modesto drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Gregori (Modesto, CA) to face the Jaguars in a Central California - CCAL challenge on Friday, October 24. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Gregori won 31-21 in their recent league challenge against Enochs (Modesto, CA)
