The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Fitzgerald Spartans (Warren, MI) and the visiting Port Huron Northern Huskies (Port Huron, MI), witnessed Fitzgerald's football squad topple Port Huron Northern by a count of 36-23.

The Spartans (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Romulus (Romulus, MI). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Romulus thwarted Annapolis (Dearborn Heights, MI), 53-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Huskies confront the St. Clair Saints (St. Clair, MI) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 24. Port Huron Northern will attempt to advance on its 6-2 season record. The Saints go into the battle with a 5-3 record after their 38-26 non-league win over Hazel Park (Hazel Park, MI).
