The Gothenburg Swedes felled the visiting Minden Whippets football team by a score of 27-6 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Swedes meet the Broken Bow Indians (Broken Bow, NE) in a C1 District 6 test, on Friday, October 24. Gothenburg will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Indians come into the test with a 3-5 record after their 34-20 non-league loss to Central City (Central City, NE).

With the defeat, Minden drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Whippets host Cozad (Cozad, NE) to face the Haymakers in a C1 District 6 challenge on Friday, October 24. The Haymakers enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Cozad won 42-0 in their recent league challenge against Holdrege (Holdrege, NE)
