In Friday's league match, the visiting Hilton Head Island Seahawks football squad scored a good 31-15 victory over the May River Sharks .

The Seahawks (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Colleton County (Walterboro, SC). The Cougars go into the AAAA Region 6 battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, Colleton County was topped by Bluffton (Bluffton, SC), 55-12, in a league battle.

The Sharks now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Beaufort for a AAAA Region 6 battle on Friday, October 24. May River will play a Eagles team coming off a 23-14 league loss to Bishop England (Charleston, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.
