The Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) football nipped the host Loudoun County Captains (Leesburg, VA), 35-34 in Friday's non-league contest.

The Cougars (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Musselman (Inwood, WV). The Applemen enter the Eastern Panhandle bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, Musselman nudged Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV), 53-0, in a league bout.

The Captains now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Woodgrove for a Catoctin bout on Thursday, October 30.
