The Madison Academy Mustangs (Madison, AL) football overcame the host St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL), 48-29 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Plainview Bears (Rainsville, AL) in a 4A Region 8 game, on Friday, October 24. Madison Academy will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 8-0 record after their 48-7 league win over New Hope (New Hope, AL).

The Falcons (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Danville (Danville, AL). The Hawks enter the non-league game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Danville was knocked off by Hatton (Town Creek, AL), 63-0, in a league outing.
