Russell Broncos (Russell, KS) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Minneapolis Lions (Minneapolis, KS), 37-36 in a league battle.

With the win, Russell advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Broncos host Beloit (Beloit, KS) to confront the Trojans in a North Central AA match on Saturday, October 25. The Trojans come into the match with a record of 4-3. Beloit won 16-6 in their recent league match against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, KS)

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Phillipsburg Panthers (Phillipsburg, KS) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 23. Minneapolis will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 4-3 record after their 55-0 league win over Norton (Norton, KS).
