Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA), 14-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Santana advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The Sultans travel to West Hills (Santee, CA) to confront the Wolf Pack in a Grossmont - Valley match on Friday, October 24. The Wolf Pack come into the match with a record of 2-6. West Hills lost 48-27 in their recent league match against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA)

Coming up next, the Monarchs confront the Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA) in a Grossmont - Valley match, on Friday, October 24. Monte Vista will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Norsemen go into the battle with a 2-6 record after their 38-0 league win over El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA).
