Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS) followers were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the host Royal Valley Panthers (Hoyt, KS), 48-27 in a league match.

The Thunder (7-0) will now prepare for their match against Atchison County (Effingham, KS). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Atchison County was beaten by Jefferson West (Meriden, KS), 50-12, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Panthers confront the Oskaloosa Bears (Oskaloosa, KS) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 24. Royal Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Bears go into the battle with a 2-5 record after their 42-0 non-league loss to Sabetha (Sabetha, KS).
