In Friday's non-league outing, the Portage Northern Huskies (Portage, MI) football squad trounced the visiting Norrix Knights (Kalamazoo, MI), by a margin of 46-13.

The Huskies now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakeshore for a Southwestern Michigan - West outing on Friday, October 24. Portage Northern will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 56-41 non-league win over Gull Lake (Richland, MI). The Lancers record now stands at 3-5.

The Knights (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI). The Maroon Giants enter the Southwestern Michigan - East game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Kalamazoo Central overwhelmed Mattawan (Mattawan, MI), 45-28, in a non-league game.
